I hope your October is off to a wonderful start! You all made mine fantastic. I watched The Craft with my daughters last night to start the festivities off. Practical Magic is next. It is the season of the witch. What are you watching?

Next Steps:
Kickstarter will collect funds. Once they do, I'll have my spooky playlist ready to send out as a special thanks to all of you amazing peeps. This should happen by mid-October! Hopefully, earlier.
Surveys will follow. This is an important step in fulfillment. I need your order and contact information confirmed. I will also be raffling some very cool horror anthologies and digital goodies during surveys. All backers who complete their surveys in the first week they go out will be entered in the raffle. I will send a separate update when surveys go out.

Happy Friday!
I'm heading to LA Comic Con to set up for a weekend of comics and pop culture. It's the first time The Killing Stone will be at a convention, so I am super excited to introduce the new graphic novel to attendees!
I have to show you our brand-new Magical Mystery Monster Vending Machine! I've wanted to have an interactive item like this at my booth for a while so Mike went on the hunt and found me this beauty.
It will be filled with five of our monster school enamel pins. I love these pins. The glow-in-the dark La Llorona and two Kitsune pins are illustrated by Anna Wieszczk. The School Crest and Necro pins are illustrated by Mark Mactal.
I've also included a special add-on where you can scoop up all five pins for $53 ($73 value). This is only available until this Sunday at 10 A.M. PST. If you need them all, you can go to the manage your pledge button to include this add-on.
Currently, the beautiful Monster Heart pin designed by Anna is only available through this Kickstarter. I can't wait to put this one to my jacket.
We will be doing some raffles for bonus books early next week. Some lucky backers will receive extra books, either digital or physical depending on their reward tier. Stay tuned!

I hope you all had a restful weekend. We've been busy over here with the campaign and preparing for LA Comic Con.
We just hit 200 backers! All backers will now receive a digital copy of Bixby Grant Issue #1! That's a total of seven bonus comics so far, all for you to enjoy!
The next backer bonus unlocks at 225. I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to offer Issue #1 of Madeleine Holly-Rosing's new series, Morgana Pendragon. I read it, and I love it. I am a huge Arthurian Legend nerd, especially Morgana! I hope we unlock this beautiful comic.
I'm also sharing a Spooky Playlist - Medusa's Monster Jams. I did share this with backers from previous campaigns earlier so you might have already gotten it. However, I wanted to make sure new backers knew about the special bonus we do to celebrate each campaign. We create a playlist that ties into the theme. Mike and I are currently working on this campaign's mixed tape which will be released when we finish the campaign in the beginning of October.
Medusa's Monster Jams was the mix from the Origins #1 Campaign. I listen to this one quite a bit once mid-September hits. It's become the soundtrack of my Spooky Season.

We unlocked our 5.5K and 6K Stretch Goals!
The 6K goal is a digital copy of The Wellkeeper Issue #1 by Dee Fish. The art and story in this comic are so amazing.
I’m super excited about this bonus because Dee and I are working on a comic adaptation of a magical and cozy book series with Laguna Studios. I’ve been given permission to say that much. More on that project when they reveal more!
The next Stretch Goal bonus unlocks when we hit 6.5K. It's Issue #1 of our variant cover artist Carla Wyzgala's series Skull Maskerade.
The next backer bonus unlocks at 175 backers. The Last Case of Deven and Taylor #1 by Kat Calamia, Phil Falco, Mauricio Mora, Danny Faubricio, Sanchez Chaves just had a super successful campaign. I really dig this comic and super excited to share it. You can also still check out the campaign and order.
Finally, an awesome backer just asked for more werewolf stuff which I will definitely keep in mind for the future. We do have Barg, the black hound, but he doesn't transform.
